I am Ayesha - the Baker/Cookie Artist behind Glazed Bakes.If you want to get to know the baker & how this all started, keep reading! 

I have had a passion for baking for as long as I can remember and it's something I’ve always enjoyed. From a very young age I’d be baking cupcakes, brownies, muffins and anything else off a recipe my mum would give me, or would find. Decorating cookies actually started not too long before Glazed Bakes was established, when I decided to attempt using fondant icing on shortbread biscuits. I took on my first order at 17 for a wedding (chucked myself right into the deep end I know!). The wedding order gave me that little bit of confidence at a young age, so I then began to experiment with royal icing and practised my way through to where I am now. I instantly fell in love with the decorating the same way I did baking but I always say I enjoy the baking much more because it's where I began. 

I read everything I could online and watched a ton of videos to gain some knowledge on royal icing but as a practical learner, up to this day I pride myself in saying my ability and skills that I have acquired was mostly through practice & experimenting on my own. I would make biscuits for my friends & family- birthdays, new home, baby showers (you know, the usual stuff to gain experience).

Along with baking, fashion and design, has always been something I have loved. I do take on a bit of fashion work with my cousin who owns a boutique where I design dresses and take part in the styling models in photoshoots on the odd occasions where I can. 

Surrounded by Super mums & businesswomen that had inspired me, I felt ready quite early to start my venture. Even though I'm far from the professionals I look up to,  I love to share my knowledge and experiences in hope to impact someone else. SO...
